§ 13-1103. Membership.
 

(a)  Composition; appointment of members.-  

(1) The Advisory Committee consists of nine members. 

(2) Of the nine members: 

(i) three shall be from Somerset County; 

(ii) three shall be from Wicomico County; and 

(iii) three shall be from Worcester County. 

(3) The governing body of each county shall appoint the members from that county. 

(b)  Qualifications.- Each member of the Advisory Committee shall be a member of the general public and reside in the county from which the member is appointed. 

(c)  Tenure; vacancies.-  

(1) The term of a member is 5 years. 

(2) The terms of members are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the Advisory Committee on October 1, 2008. 

(3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies. 

(4) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies. 

(d)  Removal.- The governing body that appointed a member may remove the member for incompetence or misconduct.
