§ 22-304. Director.
 

(a)  Appointment.- The State Superintendent, in consultation with the Secretary, shall appoint a director. 

(b)  Salary.- The Director shall receive the salary provided in the budget of the State Department of Education. 

(c)  Duties.- The Director shall: 

(1) Be responsible for the education of every child in a residential facility; 

(2) Ensure that the educational needs of every child in a residential facility are assessed in a timely manner; 

(3) Implement and administer the educational programs developed by the Council; 

(4) Meet with and advise the Council about education centers and educational programs and their outcomes; and 

(5) Consult with the Secretary and senior administrator of each residential facility about the operation of educational services for the program.
