Section 19-106 - Executive director.

§ 19-106. Executive director.
 

(a)  Appointment.- With the approval of the Governor, the Commission shall appoint an executive director who shall be the chief administrative officer of the Commission. 

(b)  Reports to Commission.- The executive director, the deputy directors, and the principal section chiefs serve at the pleasure of the Commission. 

(c)  Executive service or management service employee; job classification; compensation.-  

(1) The executive director, the deputy directors, and the principal section chiefs shall be executive service or management service employees. 

(2) The Commission, in consultation with the Secretary, shall determine the appropriate job classification and, subject to the State budget, the compensation for the executive director, the deputy directors, and the principal section chiefs. 

(d)  Duties.- Under the direction of the Commission, the executive director shall perform any duty or function that the Commission requires.
