§ 16-505. Penalties.
(a) Criminal penalty.- Any person who practices, attempts to practice, or offers to practice podiatry in this State without complying with the provisions of this title is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days.
(b) Civil penalty.- Any person who violates § 16-501 of this subtitle is subject to a civil fine of not more than $50,000 to be levied by the Board.
