§ 2-1231. General authority.
 

(a)  Operation of Office.- Subject to the policies and directives of the President and the Speaker and the overall supervision and control of the Executive Director, the Director shall oversee the operation of the Office. 

(b)  Appointment of individuals in management functions.- The Director, after consultation with the Executive Director, shall appoint qualified individuals to serve in management functions in the Office. 

(c)  Nonpartisanship.- The Director shall serve in a nonpartisan capacity and conduct the affairs of the Office in a nonpartisan manner.
