Section 38A Guardian or conservator; payment of funeral expenses of deceased member of ward’s family

[Text of section effective until July 1, 2009. Repealed by 2008, 521, Sec. 21. See 2008, 521, Sec. 44.]

Section 38A. The probate court, upon the application of a guardian or conservator or of a member of his ward’s family, and after such notice to all persons interested as it directs, may authorize and require such guardian or conservator to expend funds from the ward’s estate for or towards the funeral and burial expenses of a deceased member of the ward’s family. For the purposes of this section, the ward’s lineal ancestors and descendants and the ward’s spouse shall be deemed to be members of the ward’s family, without however, thereby limiting the same.
