400.171 Definitions.

Sec. 1.

As used in this act:

(a) “Association” means an association as defined in section 108 of the savings and loan act of 1980, 1980 PA 307, MCL 491.108.

(b) “Department” means the family independence agency.

(c) “Food stamps” means the coupons issued pursuant to the food stamp program established pursuant to the food stamp act of 1977, Public Law 88-525, 7 U.S.C. 2011 to 2012 and 2013 to 2036.

(d) “Institution” means an institution as defined in section 1202 of the banking code of 1999, 1999 PA 276, MCL 487.11202.

(e) “Credit union” means a domestic credit union as that term is defined in section 102 of the credit union act.
