484.2314 Discontinuance of regulated service for failure to pay rate or charge for unregulated service prohibited; determination of conditions for discontinuance under section.

Sec. 314.

(1) A provider of a regulated service shall not discontinue the regulated service for failure by a customer to pay a rate or charge imposed for an unregulated service. For the purposes of this section, the commission may determine how payments are allocated between regulated and unregulated services.

(2) The commission shall determine when and under what conditions a provider of basic local exchange service may discontinue service under this section.
