§ 17-3-7. Municipalities and counties authorized to make appropriations in aid of fairs.
All municipalities, regardless of the form of government under which they operate, or any board of supervisors, shall have the power to appropriate money, not exceeding twenty-five hundred ($2500.00) dollars, annually, to aid in the payment of premiums and awards made and given by fairs or fair associations located, held and operated in such county. Such appropriations may be made in gross amounts, and paid upon specific awards made under such rules and regulations as may be prescribed by the municipal or county authorities.
