19-5-73 - Establishment of farmers' markets.

§ 19-5-73. Establishment of farmers' markets.
 

The board of supervisors of any county having not less than nine thousand (9,000) and not more than eleven thousand (11,000) population according to the federal census of 1950, and having a boundary adjacent to another state, and the board of supervisors of any county having a population in excess of fifty thousand (50,000) with two (2) or more municipalities therein each with a population in excess of ten thousand (10,000) according to the last federal census, are hereby authorized to expend monies from the general fund for the purpose of providing funds to be expended to establish, maintain and operate farmers' markets and facilities to assist in the disposal and sale of farm and other food products in the interest of farmers, consumers and the general public.
