Revisor of statutes--appointment--duties--office.

3.070. The committee shall appoint and fix the compensationof a revisor of statutes and other attorneys and assistantsnecessary to the performance of its duties under this chapter.The compensation of the revisor of statutes and his assistantsand expenses incurred in connection with the performance of theirduties shall be paid from appropriations made for the committeeon legislative research. The revisor of statutes shall be dulylicensed to practice law in this state and serves at the pleasureof the committee. The revisor of statutes shall perform allduties required by the committee in connection with its dutiesunder this chapter. He shall conform to all regulationsprescribed for the internal operation of the committee and shallrender such assistance to the general assembly in connection withpending or proposed legislation as required by the committee orby any law imposing duties on the committee. He is subject alsoin all respects to the law governing other persons appointed oremployed by the committee. The division of design andconstruction shall provide adequate office space in the capitolbuilding for the revisor of statutes and the attorneys andemployees associated with him.
