State agencies to use buildings and pay rentals.

8.390. 1. If the board of public buildings enters into aproject authorized by sections 8.370 to 8.450, except energyretrofitting projects, it may require any or all of the agenciesor instrumentalities of the state which occupy rented or leasedquarters in the city in which the project is located to occupyquarters in the project and may require each such agency tocontribute from time to time from funds appropriated for itssupport a proportion of the rentals necessary to be receivedfrom the project under the terms of the project contractdetermined by the board on the basis of the ratio which thenumber of square feet of floor space occupied by the agency orinstrumentality bears to the total number of usable square feetof space in the entire project.

2. The board of public buildings may require any or all ofthe agencies or instrumentalities of the state to participate inthe board's energy retrofitting projects and may require eachsuch agency to contribute from time to time from fundsappropriated for its support a proportional share of the costsof the energy retrofitting project necessary to be receivedunder the terms of the project agreement.
