Definitions.

8.700. As used in sections 8.700 to 8.745, unless thecontext clearly indicates otherwise, the following terms mean:

(1) "Blind person", a person who, after examination by aphysician skilled in diseases of the eye or by an optometrist,whichever such person shall select, has been determined to havenot more than 20/200 central visual acuity in the better eyewith correcting lenses, or an equally disabling loss of thevisual field as evidenced by a limitation to the field of visionin the better eye to such a degree that its widest diametersubtends an angle of no greater than 20`;

(2) "Licensing agent", the bureau of the blind of thedivision of family services;

(3) "Vending facility", a location which may sell, atwholesale or retail, food or food products, beverages,confections, newspapers, books, periodicals, tobacco productsand other articles or services dispensed automatically ormanually and prepared on or off the premises in accordance withapplicable health laws. A "vending facility" may consist,exclusively or in appropriate combination, of automatic vendingmachines, cafeterias, snack bars, cart service, shelters,counters and such appropriate equipment as the licensing agentmay by regulation prescribe as being necessary for the sale ofthe articles or services described in this subdivision. A"vending facility" may encompass more than one building.
