Organization of committee, officers--meetings, quorum--expensesof members.

21.445. 1. The joint committee on corrections shall meetwithin ten days after its creation and organize by selecting achairman and a vice chairman, one of whom shall be a member ofthe senate and the other a member of the house ofrepresentatives. The director of research of the committee onlegislative research shall serve as secretary to the committee.He shall keep the records of the committee, and shall performsuch other duties as may be directed by the committee.

2. The regular meetings of the committee shall be inJefferson City, Missouri, and after its inception andorganization it shall regularly meet at least once every sixmonths.

3. A majority of the members of the committee shallconstitute a quorum.

4. The members of the committee shall serve withoutcompensation but shall be entitled to reimbursement for actualand necessary expenses incurred in the performance of theirofficial duties.
