Electronic facsimile filings for documents filed with secretary ofstate's office, rulemaking authority.

28.700. The secretary of state may adopt rules to authorize theelectronic facsimile filing of any document filed with the secretary underany provision administered by the secretary. The rules may set forthstandards for the acceptance of a form of signature other than the properhandwriting of a person. A signature or document filed by electronicfacsimile in accordance with rules promulgated pursuant to this sectionshall be prima facie evidence for all purposes that the document actuallywas signed by the person whose signature appears on the facsimile.
