Signature of treasurer may be printed by data processing system onchecks and drafts--security measures to be taken.

30.205. 1. The state treasurer may develop and implementan advanced function printing data processing system whereby thesignature of the state treasurer is printed simultaneously withthe production of drafts or checks. Whenever the signature ofthe state treasurer is required or permitted by law to be placedupon checks or drafts, such advanced function printing dataprocessing system may be used by the state treasurer in lieu ofother procedures used to place such signature upon checks ordrafts, including, but not limited to, the facsimile signature ofpublic officials law, sections 105.273 to 105.278, RSMo.

2. Before implementing any advance function printing dataprocessing system pursuant to subsection 1 of this section, thestate treasurer shall take all necessary and reasonableprecautions to assure that adequate physical and electronicsecurity procedures are in place at any data processing centerusing such a data processing system and all necessary andreasonable measures are in place to preserve and protect theseparation of duties of the state treasurer and commissioner ofadministration as provided by law.
