Commissioners to examine into validity of defaced bonds.

33.350. It shall be the duty of the board of fundcommissioners to compare the bond or bonds or coupons sosurrendered with the register of bonds in the office of the fundcommissioners, and if satisfied that the original bonds orcoupons, according to said register, have been surrendered forrenewal, bonds or coupons of a similar character with thosesurrendered shall be issued, signed and registered, in conformityto the several acts under which the original bonds or couponswere issued, respectively.
