Compliance with law.

36.440. 1. All officers and employees of the state underthe provisions of this chapter shall comply with and aid in allproper ways in carrying out the provisions of this chapter andthe regulations adopted thereunder. All officers and employeesshall furnish any records or information which the director orthe board may request for any purpose of this law.

2. A state officer or employee under the provisions of thischapter who shall fail to comply with any provision of thischapter or of any regulation adopted thereunder shall be subjectto all penalties and remedies now or hereafter provided by lawfor the failure of a public officer or employee to do any actrequired of him by law. The director may maintain such action orproceeding at law or in equity as he considers necessary orappropriate to secure compliance with this law and theregulations adopted thereunder.
