Jurisdiction of military courts.

40.015. 1. Sections 40.005 to 40.490 apply throughout thisstate. Such sections also apply to all persons otherwise subjectto sections 40.005 to 40.490 while they are serving outside thestate, and while they are going to and returning from suchservice outside the state, in the same manner and to the sameextent as if they were serving inside the state.

2. Courts-martial and courts of inquiry may be convened andheld in units of the state military forces while those units areserving outside the state with the same jurisdiction and powersas to persons subject to sections 40.005 to 40.490 as if theproceedings were held inside the state, and offenses committedoutside the state may be tried and punished either inside oroutside the state.
