Veterans' commission to design awards, may solicit designs frominterested groups.

42.180. The veterans' commission shall design the form of themedallion, medal, and the certificate and forward the approved designs tothe adjutant general for distribution pursuant to sections 42.170 to42.185. It is the intent of the general assembly to create statewideinvolvement in the design of these symbols in recognition of this historicendeavor. Therefore, in designing the forms, the veterans' commission maysolicit potential designs from elementary and secondary schools, veterans'groups, civic organizations or any other interested party, and may selectthe best design from among such solicited designs, or may select anotherdesign.
