Veterans' commission to design form of medallions, medals andcertificates.

42.204. The veterans' commission shall design the form of the KoreanConflict medallion, medal, and the certificate and forward the approveddesigns to the adjutant general for distribution pursuant to sections42.200 to 42.206. It is the intent of the general assembly to createstatewide involvement in the design of these symbols in recognition of thishistoric endeavor. Therefore, in designing the forms, the veterans'commission may solicit potential designs from elementary and secondaryschools, veterans' groups, civic organizations, or any other interestedparty, and may select the best design from among such solicited designs, ormay select another design.
