Criminal justice network and technology revolving fund, purpose.

43.270. There is hereby created in the state treasury the "CriminalJustice Network and Technology Revolving Fund", which will be administeredby the superintendent of the highway patrol. All funds associated with thecriminal justice network received by the highway patrol shall be creditedto the fund. The state treasurer is the custodian of the fund and shallapprove disbursements from the fund subject to appropriation and asprovided by law and the constitution of this state at the request of thesuperintendent of the highway patrol. The balances from this fund shall beused for the procurement of telecommunications and computer equipment,services, and software associated with connection to the criminal justicenetwork. Any unexpended balance in the fund at the end of the fiscal yearshall be exempt from the provisions of section 33.080, RSMo, relating tothe transfer of unexpended balances to the general revenue fund. All fundsassociated with MULES in the office of administration's revolvingadministrative trust fund shall be transferred to the criminal justicenetwork and technology revolving fund on August 28, 1997.
