Petition to change name--consideration--notice.

71.050. At any meeting of the corporate authorities of anycity, incorporated town or incorporated village, after thepresentation of the petition herein provided, such corporateauthorities shall fix the time when such petition shall beconsidered, and order notice of the presentation thereof to begiven by publishing such notice for three consecutive weeks insome newspaper having a general circulation in such city, town orvillage; such notice shall state that a change of name of suchcity, town or village has been prayed for, and the time whenaction on said petition shall be had, at which timeremonstrances, if any, will be heard.
