Procedure for, and effect of absorption.

72.325. Upon approval of the question in each of the municipalitiesinvolved, the absorption shall be accomplished on the date contained in theresolutions by the municipality specified in the resolution as the one whichis to absorb the other municipalities shall succeed to the corporate existenceand the territorial limits of the municipalities being absorbed and themunicipalities absorbed shall cease to exist as separate municipal entities.All the property, real, personal and mixed, and all rights of every kind andnature belonging to and vested in each municipality being absorbed shall betransferred to and vested in the municipality which is absorbing the others onthe effective date of the resolutions. All debts and liabilities and allother choses in action, and all and every interest of or belonging to each ofthe municipalities absorbed shall be taken and transferred to and vested inthe municipality which is absorbing the others on the effective date of theresolutions. The title to any real estate, or any interest therein, vested inany municipality which is absorbed shall not revert or be in any way impairedby reason of the absorption.
