Corrupt allowance of claim, how punished.

77.460. Any member of the council or officer of the city whoshall, in official capacity, or under color of his office,knowingly or willfully or corruptly vote or assent to, or reportin favor of, or allow or certify for allowance, any claim ordemand against the city, which claim or demand shall be onaccount of or under color of a contract or agreement notauthorized by law and the ordinances of the city, shall be deemedguilty of a misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof, bepunished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than oneyear, or by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or by bothsuch fine and imprisonment.
