78.140. Who shall be candidates.

Who shall be candidates.

78.140. The two candidates receiving the highest number ofvotes for mayor shall be the candidates, and the only candidateswhose names shall be placed upon the ballot for mayor at the nextsucceeding general municipal election, and in cities having apopulation of eight thousand and less than thirty thousand theeight candidates having the highest number of votes forcouncilmen, or all such candidates if less than eight, and incities having a population of three thousand and less than eightthousand the four candidates receiving the highest number ofvotes for councilmen, or all such candidates if less than four,shall be the candidates and the only candidates whose names shallbe placed upon the ballot for councilman at such municipalelection.
