License collector, election, term, oath, bond--vacancy.

82.330. On the Tuesday next following the first Monday inNovember, A.D. 1902, and every four years thereafter, there shallbe elected in said cities, in the manner provided by law for theelection of city officers, a license collector, who shall holdhis office for the term of four years, and until his successor iselected and qualified; he shall take the oath of office requiredof state officers, and give bond to such city in the sum oftwenty-five thousand dollars, conditioned that he will faithfullyand punctually collect and pay over all revenue for licenses andlicense tax collected and received by him, and in all thingsfaithfully perform the duties of the office of license collectoraccording to law and the ordinances of said city, to be approvedby the mayor; and said oath and bond to be filed in the office ofthe city register of such city. Vacancies in said office oflicense collector from any cause shall be filled by the governor,from and until the end and expiration of the term in which thevacancy is created. Said license collector shall have his officein the city hall in such rooms as may be designated for thepurpose by the proper authority.
