Members' retirement contributions, amount, how determined.

86.1010. The board of police commissioners shall cause to be deductedfrom the compensation of each member until retirement a percentage of suchmember's compensation, which shall not be less than six percent, asdetermined by the retirement board, as such member's contribution to thepension fund. The sum so deducted shall be paid by the board of policecommissioners promptly after each payroll to the retirement board to becredited to the member's account. Every member shall be deemed to consentto the deductions made and provided for herein. The board of policecommissioners shall certify to the retirement board on every payroll theamount deducted, and such amounts shall be paid into the pension fund andshall be credited to the individual pension account of the member fromwhose compensation such deduction was made.
