Criminal liability not limited by retirement system laws--correctionof errors.

86.1050. Nothing contained in sections 86.900 to 86.1280 shall in anyway limit the criminal liability of any person subject to prosecution underany law which is now or may hereafter be in force. Should any change orerror in records result in any member or beneficiary receiving from thepension system more or less than such person would have been entitled toreceive had the records been correct, the retirement board shall correctsuch error and, as far as practicable, shall adjust the payments in such amanner that the benefit to which said member or beneficiary was correctlyentitled shall be paid.
