86.573. The treasurer shall be the custodian of said pensionfund, subject to the control and direction of the board and shallkeep a separate rate book and complete account concerning saidfund, in such manner as may be prescribed by the board, and thebooks and accounts shall always be subject to the inspection ofthe board or any member thereof, and said treasurer shall bepersonally liable, and also liable on his bond executed to thecity for the purpose of becoming said officer of the city. Onthe expiration of his term of office, he will surrender anddeliver over to his successor all unexpended moneys and allproperty and evidence of indebtedness, and all other papers andrecords which may have come to his possession as treasurer ofsuch funds.
