Contributing members of retirement system to be represented on boardof trustees.

86.584. If the police and firemen's pension systemestablished under the provisions of section 86.583 requires acontribution from the members of the organized police or firedepartment, then at least one voting member of the board oftrustees shall be a member of the organized police department orfire department elected by the contributing members, and if thesystem serves both the police and the fire departments, a memberof both the organized police department and of the firedepartment shall be voting members of the board of trusteeselected by the contributing members.
