Amounts due from city, certification, budget and appropriation.

87.355. On or before the first of March of each year theboard of trustees shall certify to the proper city authoritiesthe amount which will become due and payable during the year nextfollowing to the general reserve fund. The amount so certifiedshall be included by the city authorities in their annual budgetestimate. The amount so certified shall be appropriated by thecity and transferred to the retirement system for the ensuingyear.
