Cities empowered to erect, maintain gas and powerplants--waterworks--ice plants--electric light plants.

91.010. The city council of any city, town or village inthis state shall have power to erect, maintain and operatewaterworks, or to acquire waterworks by purchase and to operateand maintain the same, and to supply the inhabitants thereof withwater; to erect, purchase, acquire, maintain and operate gas andpower plants, electric light plants, ice plants or any other kindof plant or device for lighting purposes, or to acquire and ownthe same by purchase and to maintain and operate such plants andto supply the inhabitants of such cities, towns and villages withwater, light, ice and power therefrom.
