Officers and employees--compensation.

91.500. Said board shall have the power to appoint a chiefsuperintendent and such subordinates, including engineers,inspectors, clerks, assistants and other persons, as may benecessary, but the number of such additional appointees and thecompensation of all employees and appointees of said board shallbe as provided by ordinances.
