Cities are authorized to acquire all necessary lands and easements.

91.570. All such cities are hereby granted the right andpower to acquire by purchase, condemnation or gift all necessaryland and easements within and without the city for the purpose ofwaterworks, electrical power plants to supply the inhabitants ofsuch cities with water and electrical energy, for theconstruction, maintenance and alteration of levees to protect theinhabitants of such cities and towns and for any other publicuse.
