Members, appointment--vacancy, how filled.

92.885. 1. The land reutilization authority shall becomposed of three members, one of whom shall be appointed by thecomptroller of any city operating under the provisions ofsections 92.700 to 92.920, one of whom shall be appointed by theboard of education of such city, and one shall be appointed bythe mayor of any such city. The members shall serve at thepleasure of their respective appointing authority and shall servewithout compensation. The members so appointed may be employeesof the appointing authority and shall serve without additionalcompensation.

2. Any vacancy in the office of land reutilizationcommissioner shall be filled by the same appointing authoritywhich made the original appointment. If any appointing authorityfails to make any appointment of a land reutilizationcommissioner within the time the first appointments are required,or within thirty days after any term expires, then theappointment shall be made by the mayor of the city.
