Ballot form for submission of tax--tax to become effective, when.

94.877. The ballot of submission shall contain, but need not be limitedto:

Shall the governing body of ........................... (insert name ofpolitical subdivision) impose a tourism tax of .......% on sales, charges oradmissions on all hotels, motels, recreation vehicle parks, campground sites,condominium units rented for less than thirty days for the purpose of funding...................... (insert type of improvement)?

â ã YES â ã NO If a majority of the votes cast on the question by the qualified votersvoting thereon are in favor of the question, then the tax shall becomeeffective on the first day of the calendar quarter following the calendarquarter in which the election was held. If a majority of the votes cast onthe question by the qualified voters voting thereon are opposed to thequestion, then the governing body shall have no power to impose the taxauthorized by section 94.870 unless and until the governing body again submitsthe question to the qualified voters and such question is approved by amajority of the qualified voters voting on the question.
