Cities may levy taxes or sell bonds to finance grants to anauthority.

100.550. Any city located in whole or in part within thearea of operation of an authority may grant funds to an authorityfor the purpose of aiding such authority in carrying out any ofits powers and functions under this law. To obtain funds forthis purpose the community may levy taxes or may issue and sellits bonds. Any bonds to be issued by the city pursuant to theprovisions of this section shall be issued in the manner andwithin the limitations, except as herein otherwise provided,prescribed by the laws of this state for the issuance andauthorization of such bonds for public purposes generally.
