Law not applicable to peace officers or employees in safety-sensitivepositions, definitions.

105.1116. 1. The provisions of sections 105.1105 and105.1108 shall apply only with respect to criminal offensescommitted on or after August 28, 1993.

2. The provisions of sections 105.1100 to 105.1114 andsubsection 1 of this section shall not apply to a peace officerof any state or local law enforcement agency or other publicemployees in safety-sensitive positions. For the purpose of thissubsection, "safety-sensitive positions" shall mean publicemployment involving the performance of duties which have adirect and immediate impact on the safety of the public and otherpublic employees.
