United States savings bonds--authorization for withholding.

105.160. Whenever any official or employee of the state ofMissouri, county or any municipal corporation of the state ofMissouri shall authorize in writing, the commissioner ofadministration in case such person is a state officer oremployee, or the disbursing officer of the county or municipalcorporation in case such person is an officer or employee of acounty or municipal corporation, to withhold a specified portionof his salary or compensation, for the purpose of purchasingUnited States series "E" savings bonds, said commissioner ofadministration or disbursing officer, as the case may be, maywithhold such sum from the salary or compensation of such officeror employee for the period and in the amount stated in theauthorization, and issue a warrant therefor payable to suchofficer or employee, to be endorsed by the commissioner ofadministration or his authorized agent in case the officer oremployee is paid out of the state treasury, and endorsed by thedisbursing agent of the county or municipal corporation in casethe officer or employee is paid out of the county or municipalcorporation treasury, each and every pay period until canceled asprovided in section 105.180.
