Courts may order records rebound, transcribed, indexed.

109.090. The judges and justices of the several courts ofrecord within this state shall have power to order any of thebooks or records in the clerk's offices of their respectivecourts to be rebound; or when defaced, torn or in a ruinouscondition, to be transcribed in new books; or, when deemednecessary, may order new or correct indexes to be made to anyrecord or records, and shall make a reasonable allowancetherefor, which shall be chargeable to the proper county andpayable out of the county treasury.
