Boards may employ staff.

115.045. Each election authority shall have the authority to employsuch attorneys and other employees as may be necessary to promptly andcorrectly perform the duties of the election authority. Where anelectronic voting system or voting machines are used, the electionauthority shall designate competent employees to have custody of andsupervise maintenance of the voting equipment. Board of electioncommissioners' employees shall be subject to the same restrictions andsubscribe the same oath as members of the board of election commissioners,except that no employee of a board of election commissioners shall berequired to post bond unless directed to do so by the board. Employeeoaths and any bonds shall be filed and preserved in the office of theboard.
