Receipt to be given for filed petition.

115.331. When any petition is offered for filing with thesecretary of state or an election authority under the provisionsof this chapter, the officer receiving the petition shall prepareand issue to the person submitting the petition a receiptindicating the number of petition pages presented from eachcounty. The receipt shall be evidence of the filing of thepetition pages subject to the determination that the petitioncomplies with the provisions of this chapter.
