Vacancy, how filled.

115.617. Whenever a member of any county committee dies,becomes disabled, resigns, or ceases to be a registered voter ofor a resident of the county or the committee district from whichhe is elected, a vacancy shall exist on the committee. Amajority of the committee shall elect another person to fill thevacancy who, for one year next before his election, shall havebeen both a registered voter of and a resident of the county andthe committee district. The person selected to fill the vacancyshall serve the remainder of the vacated term.
