128.060. Returns, how certified.
128.060. It shall be the duty of the judges of suchelections in the different townships to make returns thereof tothe clerks of the county commissions of their respectivecounties, within two days after such election, which clerksshall, within eight days after they receive such returns, certifyand transmit the same to the governor, by delivering them intothe nearest post office on the most direct route to the seat ofgovernment. If there shall be a failure to receive any of thereturns at the seat of government for one mail after the same isdue, the secretary of state may dispatch a messenger to thecounty not returned, with directions to bring up said returns tothe governor.
