Complaints filed with ethics commission or civil action forforfeiture authorized.

130.150. Complaints Concerning Violations

(1) Any person may file a complaint alleging violations ofthe contribution limits set forth above with the Missouri EthicsCommission which complaint shall be acted upon promptly by thecommission in the same manner and with the same effect as othercomplaints over which the commission has jurisdiction.

(2) Instead of filing a complaint with the Missouri EthicsCommission, any person may file a civil action in summary processin the circuit court for the circuit in which the allegedviolation occurred, against the alleged violator or violators,seeking a forfeiture to the General Revenue of the State of anyamount of contributions in excess of the limits set forth above.
