Director to appoint assistants--bonds.

136.040. 1. The director of revenue shall employ and removesuch assistants, clerks and other employees in the division oftaxation and collection as the work of the division may require,within the limits of the appropriation, and to fix theircompensation.

2. The director of revenue shall have the power to requirethat any assistants, clerks and other employees in the divisionof taxation and collection shall execute bond to the state ofMissouri in such amount as he may determine and with sureties tobe approved by him. The premium of each such bond shall be paidout of the appropriation for the department of revenue.
