Violation by sheriff.

136.220. The officer to whom any distress warrant shall bedelivered, and his sureties, shall be liable for the same causes,and in the same manner, and to the same extent, and with likeeffect, in all respects, as far as the same may be applicable,for refusing or neglecting to perform any duty under suchdistress warrant, as is provided by law against sheriffs andtheir sureties, in cases of refusal or neglect on the part ofsuch sheriffs to perform the duties prescribed by law in case ofexecutions.
