Members of board not to receive additional compensation,exception--compensation of county surveyor.

138.020. The commissioners of the county commission, the countyassessor, the county clerk, and those sitting as members as may otherwisebe provided, who are now or may hereafter be compensated by salary shallnot be entitled to additional compensation for the performance of theirduties as members of the county board of equalization. The county surveyorshall be present and sit as a member of the county board of equalizationand shall receive as compensation a fee as agreed upon by the countycommission. Citizens who are not officers of the county, but who sit asmembers of the county board of equalization, may receive compensation ifagreed upon by the county commission.
