Cancellation and filing of certificate--proof of loss.

140.450. When conveyances are delivered for lands sold fortaxes the certificates therefor shall be canceled and filed awayby the collector; and in case of the loss of any certificate, onbeing fully satisfied thereof by due proof, or upon theproduction of a certified copy thereof, the collector may executeand deliver the proper conveyance, and file such proof in hisoffice.
